Accounts Payable Coordinator

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Coordinator in the educational field in Calgary, Alberta.
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will be supporting vendor maintenance, accounts payable and general ledger reconciliations, and working paper preparation
Total rewards:

$28.00 - $32.00 hourly
Contract position until September 4, 2026
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm in office
Start date: ASAP
Location: NW Calgary (transit accessible)
Work within a very supportive team

A typical day:

Process invoices, cheque requisitions, employee expense claims, and honorarium
Prepare and process cheques and Electronic Fund Transfer batches.
Prepare and file T4A forms
Prepare and process vendor payments, journal entry preparation and input, account analysis and reconciliation
Conduct reconciliation and analysis of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Set up, verify and maintain vendors in the accounting system
Prepare and input journal entries and documentation for accounts payable financial transactions
Process capital assets in collaboration with the Accounting Coordinator.

Successful candidates will have:

5 years related experience in accounting or Accounts Payable
Bachelor's degree or 2-year diploma in accounting or related field
Strong experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledge and financial statements
Solid experience with Sage 300 or equivalent including Sage Intelligence
Experience in Student Information Systems (SIS) such as Banner, Elevate will be an asset
Strong MS Office 365 with advance excel experience
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work independently.
