We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our client's finance team. Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Accountant in the retail industry in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role is ideal for individuals early in their accounting career who are looking to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting operations. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Responsibilities:- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Handling intercompany transactions
- Maintain and update financial records and documentation
Successful candidates will have:- 3+ years of experience in the accounting field (AP/AR)
- Strong AR/AP experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Intermediate MS Excel user
- Experience working with multiple currencies highly desirable
- Experience handling accounting duties for multiple companies at a time will be a strong asset
Total rewards:- $55000.00 - $65000.00 annually
- Permanent position
- Monday to Friday in office (9-5:30pm)
