Production Planner

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Production Planner in the plastics industry in Burlington, Ontario.
The Production Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating production and inventory activities to ensure timely manufacturing in the correct quantities and to quality standards. Supports the Supply Chain team by maintaining accurate system data and reporting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to meet production plans.

A typical day:

Production Planning/Scheduling
Develop a working understanding of the Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) and uses this data to maintain Master Production Plans
Maintains production plans to support the Sales and Operation Plan
Actively participates in planning reviews with the operations team to review priorities. Maintains systems data set up and general data housekeeping
Monitor aged inventory, providing recommendations for actions to address. Prepares customer specific inventory build plans
Monitor daily output and adjust schedules, where necessary, working closely with internal stakeholders (Maintenance, Production, Sales, Quality, Technical and Supply Chain)
Issues production schedules to the plant

Successful candidates will have:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or a related discipline
APICS certification is an asset
2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Supply chain or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment an asset. Effective analytical and problem-solving capability. Strong attention to detail.
Flexible and able to manage multiple projects/tasks
Continuous improvement and innovative mindset
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
