Electrical Controls Designer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Electrical Controls Designer in the custom equipment industry in Burlington, Ontario.
The Electrical Controls Designer / Detailer will be responsible for creating AutoCAD drawings, assist with the development of various associated documents and provide design input for the various types of control systems for different product line. Perform Factory Assessment Test in shop before the panel delivery as well as perform site commissioning and troubleshooting in the field.
Total rewards:

$45.00 - $60.00 hourly
Preferred rates for benefit coverage available
6-month contract; opportunity for extension
Hybrid work environment

A typical day:

Work in conjunction with the Electrical Controls group and Mechanical Designers to develop electrical drawings and documentation for an efficient and safe control systems for equipment.
Co-ordinate with other electrical designers and assist in the design and development of these control systems for larger projects.
Assist with sourcing new and improved components that will keep equipment current with today’s technology.
Assist with all aspects of the control equipment in order to conform to the customer’s specifications.
Follow internal engineering procedures including working in Vault.
PLC/HIM Programming

Successful candidates will have:

Electrical Controls Technologist / Technician or Engineer CO-OP student or equivalent experience.
Make drawing related decisions with the assistance of the Electrical Controls System Supervisor as required using AutoCAD
Responsible for interfacing with the Electrical Designers and/or contract designers/integrators assigned to the project.
PLC/HIM Programming experience
Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
