Agilus is recruiting for a Sourcing Associate for a 12-month contract opportunity in Brockville, Ontario. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys working closely with plant operations and suppliers. You’ll source MRO materials and services, manage purchasing activities, address supplier challenges, and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, delivery, and overall value in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A typical day:- Source and procure MRO materials, equipment, tools and services to support plant operations
- Create, process and manage purchase orders in accordance with established procurement procedures
- Monitor inventory requirements and collaborate with internal teams to maintain appropriate stock levels for critical items
- Optimize supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and service
- Identify cost savings, supplier consolidation and value improvement opportunities
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, operations and warehouse teams to understand evolving requirements
- Resolve supplier delivery issues, invoice discrepancies and material quality concerns
- Maintain accurate supplier records, purchasing documentation and procurement data while supporting internal compliance requirements
Successful candidates will have:- Bring 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within MRO, manufacturing or industrial supply
- Demonstrate knowledge of MRO categories including spare parts, consumables, tools, safety supplies and maintenance services
- Apply hands-on experience using SAP, ERP or procurement systems and standard business applications
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Manage multiple purchasing priorities effectively within a fast-paced operating environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Apply knowledge of supplier performance metrics, inventory control practices and cost management
- Bring a detail-oriented, collaborative approach with a focus on continuous process improvement
Total rewards:- $41000.00 - $61000.00 annually
