Synergie is hiring a dependable Cook in Barrhead, AB to support a community living client. Ideal candidates are compassionate and take pride in preparing quality meals while in a care-focused setting.Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Cook – Community Living in the community living area of in Barrhead, Alberta. This is a 3–4 week temporary assignment supporting a community living residence in Barrhead, AB. The Cook will prepare nutritious meals while ensuring food safety and accommodating dietary needs. Ideal candidates are dependable, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a structured kitchen environment. This is a great opportunity for someone available for an immediate, short-term role making a positive impact. A typical day:- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation of meals
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen organization
- Work collaboratively with staff to support a positive resident experience
- Support menu preparation and accommodate dietary restrictions when required
Successful candidates will have:- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or institutional settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency and quality
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) preferred
- Must be willing to complete a client interview process
Total rewards:- $23.00 hourly
