Agilus is recruiting for several DZ Driver/Loaders in the Waste Services Industry in Ottawa, Ontario.
* This position is located in PEMBROKE, ON! The DZ Driver/Loader is responsible for the safe, timely collection of residential waste streams, including yard waste, recycling, and garbage. This role ensures proper waste disposal in compliance with safety, environmental, and municipal regulations while delivering courteous and reliable service to the community. This is a full-time, permanent role.
How you will make an impact:

Responsible for various waste stream residential collections (this may include yard waste, blue box, green bin collection and/or garbage collection)
Provide customers with reliable and high-quality customer service
Collect various waste streams to be delivered to local Transfer stations, Compost Facilities or landfill sites in an efficient and appropriate manner.
Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule while following all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working.
Collaborate with fellow employees, management, resident and members of the public in a polite and respectful manner always.
Required to make more than 800-900 residential stops per day.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift garbage bags or cans weighing up to 50 lbs. and must be lifted from the ground up approximately 2 feet into the hopper.
Must adhere to Client safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
Successful candidates must have a valid DZ Driver's Licence.
Clean Drivers Abstract
Must be comfortable conducting a backcheck
Must have steel-toe boots and a high-visibility vest

Total compensation:

$33.01 hourly
Permanent role
