This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting within a supportive and dynamic environmentAgilus is recruiting for an Accountant in the mining in Burnaby, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accuracy in financial documentation. Responsibilities:- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions including high volume invoicing
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Handling intercompany transactions
- Process payments and prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain and update financial records and documentation
You bring:- 3+ years of experience in the accounting field (AP/AR)
- Strong AR/AP experience
- Handled accounting duties for multiple companies at a time preferred
- Experience working with multiple currencies highly desirable
- Can-do attitude with the ability to juggle priorities and be a team player
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Intermediate MS Excel user
- High volume invoice experience preferred
Total rewards:- 55K - 65K annually
- Permanent position
