Shift Engineer (1st / 2nd Class)

Agilus is recruiting for a Shift Engineer (1st / 2nd Class) in the oil & gas industry in Cold Lake, Alberta.
The Shift Engineer will provide leadership to a crew of 5 - 10 people. the The Shift Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the entire plant on while on shift.
A typical day:

Ensures the monitoring and optimization of overall plant operation, coordination of daily operation activities and information flow between operating units.
Mentors the crew, co-ordinates the crew appraisal process, shift scheduling and crew training.
Ensures Operator PMs, Emergency Response Exercises, Safety Meetings and Equipment Safety Checks are scheduled and completed.
Provide technical expertise & troubleshooting capabilities to the crew, provide resolutions to operation problems.
Detailed log of significant events.

Successful candidates will have:

1st or 2nd class Power Engineer
Strong DCS skills
Strong working level knowledge of all Plant Units including the Control Room
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational / troubleshooting skills with the ability to proactively manage / prevent problems
Strong leadership abilities.
