Contracts Advisor

Agilus is recruiting for a Contracts Advisor in the city of in Calgary, Alberta.
We are seeking a dedicated Contracts Advisor to join our Supply Chain team, reporting to the SCM Manager, TA Planning & Execution. This role involves supporting the TA Event Manager(s) and other team members in executing TA Scope throughout the contract lifecycle for Downstream Turnarounds in Canada and the US. The Contracts Advisor will manage multiple major contractors and ensure compliance with Cenovus’s SCM Policies and Procedures, minimizing commercial exposure through strategic risk management.
Responsibilities:

Conduct all contract lifecycle activities for Turnarounds
Develop commercial evaluation criteria for supplier selection
Prepare and negotiate new contracts and amendments
Ensure compliance with SCM policies and procedures
Lead contractual discussions and negotiations
Manage commercial records and documentation

Successful candidates will have:

Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred
10+ years’ experience in contract management or supply chain roles
Experience in turnarounds, large construction, or brownfield projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Ariba, SAP, SLM Toolkit, NaviTrack, TRACK
Commercial acumen and end-to-end claim management knowledge
ability to travel to the US infrequently throughout year is a requirement of this position. (approx. 3 visits for 1 year)
