Engineering Analyst II

Agilus is recruiting for a Engineering Analyst II in the Oil and Gas Sector in North York, Ontario.
Engineering Analyst opportunity with our Oil and Gas client in North York or Chatham for a 1 year contract.
A typical day:

Perform quantitative risk analysis of Gas transmission and distribution pipeline systems using a consistent framework consistent with the risk governance requirements
Support Integrity software implementation, data collection, execution, and modelling development for risk & integrity
Perform root cause analysis, risk refinement and what-if assessments to quantify the impact of possible remedial actions
Use engineering statistics, simulations, and data analytics to support effective integrity & risk decisions

Successful candidates will have:

Excellent communication and presentation skills
Engineering degree with 2 years of experience
Relevant industry experience in conducting quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), especially FTA, ETA and consequence analysis considered an asset
Relevant work experience including pipeline engineering, station engineering, integrity management, and risk assessment considered an asset
Experience building analytical models, statistical modelling, applied data science, machine learning, model evaluation considered an asset
Proficient in computer science concepts and experience in various coding languages (e.g. SQL, VB, Python, etc.)

Total rewards:

DURATION: 1 year from start date with possibility of extension (to 17 months)
HYBRID: working on site Monday/Tuesday/Thursday and remotely Wednesday/Friday
LOCATION: North York or Chatham
