Payroll and Dayforce HRIS Specialist

Calgary, AB

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Dayforce HRIS Specialist to join our client's team for a 3-6 months contract position.
Agilus is recruiting for a Dayforce HRIS Specialist in the Oil and Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll for employees. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is essential for this role.
A typical day:

Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls using Dayforce.
Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports such as ROEs, T4s, W-2s, and year-end filings.
Work on payroll configuration/optimization
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and general ledger postings.

Successful candidates will have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
5+ years’ experience with Dayforce payroll (expert-level knowledge).
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and employment standards in Canada
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Experience with Dayforce payroll configuration/optimization

Total rewards:

3 months with a potential extension up to 6 months
Start date: ASAP
Location: Calgary, but open to candidates across Canada
