Agilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.
We’re hiring an Intermediate Process Engineer to support gas processing projects within a dynamic EPCM environment. This Calgary-based role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact engineering designs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal for professionals with 6–10 years of experience and a strong background in gas processing, this contract position provides room for growth and technical development.
Responsibilities:

Develop PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and hydraulic calculations
Review vendor documentation and assist with equipment procurement
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams
Contribute to cost estimates, schedules, and execution planning
Provide field support during construction, commissioning, and start-up
Ensure compliance with internal standards, client specs, and regulations
Support engineering design and execution of gas processing projects
Prepare process design documents, calculations, and specifications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
6–10 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, focused on gas processing
Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, etc.)
Strong skills in PFD/P&ID development and equipment design
Familiarity with Canadian codes and standards
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility for registration
Experience working within EPC or EPCM environments
