Lead Environmental Strategy on Major Energy Projects – Intermediate Advisor Role with Pipeline Focus
Agilus is recruiting for an Environmental Advisor in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

This Intermediate Environmental Advisor role offers the opportunity to lead permitting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement for major pipeline and energy projects. Responsibilities:

Provide environmental and regulatory guidance across all project phases
Lead permitting and compliance strategies for pipeline projects
Represent projects to regulators, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmental planning
Manage consultants, including RFPs, budgeting, and oversight
Develop strategies to address public and legislative scrutiny
Support remediation efforts including soil and water sampling
Champion health, safety, and environmental principles across teams

Successful candidates will have:

Proven ability to solve complex regulatory and compliance issues
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working with Indigenous communities and NGOs
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight deadlines
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sciences or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental planning for energy projects
Strong knowledge of Canadian federal permitting processes
Experience with contaminated site remediation and waste classification
