Agilus is recruiting for a Environmental Planner in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

This intermediate-level role offers the chance to lead environmental planning and permitting for complex pipeline and energy projects. Responsibilities:

Manage environmental planning and permitting for pipeline and energy projects
Coordinate environmental assessments and compliance activities
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Provide technical advice on environmental risk and mitigation strategies
Recruit and manage consultants, including RFP preparation and oversight
Document and report environmental issues and non-compliance
Navigate federal regulatory processes including CER applications
Handle multiple complex projects with shifting priorities and deadlines

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental planning for energy projects
Familiarity with CER Sections 214, 183, and 45.1 of the OPR
Strong knowledge of pipeline integrity and construction methods
Experience with contaminated sites and environmental governance
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to client service and regulatory compliance
