Civil Design Engineer - Municipal

Agilus is recruiting for a Civil Design Engineer - Municipal in the Engineering consulting industry in Burlington, Ontario.
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with Municipal project experience to their team.
A typical day:

Prepare design drawings and perform design calculations based on engineering principles for a wide variety of water and wastewater projects, including, but not limited to, process piping, treatment plants, filtration systems, reservoirs, on-site systems, and pumping stations.
Organize and prepare permit applications with municipalities or regulatory agencies.
Work with municipal staff, contractors, the public, and equipment suppliers.
Preparation of technical design reports
Attend and participate in project team meetings

Successful candidates will have:

Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)
5-10 years related work experience, specifically with Municipal infrastructure projects
Prior project experience - water/wastewater systems/structures experience (treatment plants, pumping stations, lagoons, on-site/leaching beds).
Software experience - Bentley FlowMaster, WaterCAD, OpenRoads, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
Experience with preliminary and final design of water/wastewater facilities, as well as servicing, grading and drainage design.
Experience with agency approvals and permitting.
Skilled in technical report writing along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
