Lead Estimator / Chief Estimator - Concrete

Agilus is recruiting for a Lead Estimator/ Chief Estimator - Concrete in the Construction industry in Vaughan, Ontario.
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Forming Estimator to join their construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete forming projects, including foundations, slabs, walls, and structural elements. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements
Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare and submit bid proposals and tender documents
Track project costs and assist in budget management during execution
Maintain and update a database of historical cost data and pricing trends
Review architectural and structural drawings to determine scope of work
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

Successful candidates will have:

10-15+ years of proven experience as an estimator in concrete forming or general construction
Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems (e.g., gang forms, slip forms, custom forms)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
Proficiency in estimating software
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
