Process Engineer

Drive Innovation in Oil Sands: Join a Leading EPCM Firm as a Process Engineer in CalgaryAgilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. We're looking for an Intermediate Process Engineer with SAGD and heavy oil experience to support cutting-edge thermal projects in Calgary. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact engineering solutions within a collaborative EPCM environment. Responsibilities:- Support design and execution of SAGD and heavy oil projects
- Prepare process design documents, calculations, and specifications
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and perform equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations
- Review vendor documentation and assist with equipment procurement
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams
- Contribute to cost estimates, schedules, and execution planning
- Provide field support during construction, commissioning, and start-up
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, client specs, and regulations
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 6–10 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, including SAGD/heavy oil
- Minimum 3 years of direct SAGD/heavy oil project experience
- Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or similar simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of PFD/P&ID development and equipment design
- Familiarity with Canadian codes and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility for registration
